I felt like I had some new best friends after reading Buell Cobb's descriptions of people he had met through Sacred Harp singing. He has an amazing talent for describing characters so that you feel that you have known them all of your life. Whether you can sing or want to sing, you will enjoy this book for the stories about the people.

I think that I can totally relate with what you are trying to tell here. I also felt like I had some new best friends after reading some books. It feels like when I am reading the characters' stories, I am also able to live in their world. With this being said, I was also able to fully understand what they feel and their situations. I have been dreaming to become a writer because of this realization. I would like to create a world that will help people like me find some solitude. I would also like other people to be able to live a life that is full of magic even just by reading them.

This is actually what I always feel whenever I finish reading books or watching movies and drama series. It feels like I was part of the characters' journey and adventures which is why I tend to feel lonely whenever the story ends. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why books are written and why I dream of being able to write my own books someday. I would also like to help other people meet different individuals, be in a place they are not familiar with or is beyond their imagination and feel amazed and excited because of the adventures they are about to read. I actually have a huge respect for every author, writer or whatever you may call them because of their passion and creativity.
