If I had to recommend one book to persons wanting to learn about Sacred Harp singing it would be Buell Cobb's masterful memoir. The only way to top this book would be to have it made into a movie complete with singing. Highly recommended.

Thanks for sharing! Sacred Harp is very interesting yet very intimidating. I see it as very pure and delicate form of singing. It seems a very exclusive art form. So, I'm excited to learn more about it through the book. I second you though that the next best thing may be to see this book translated for the big screen.
